The Timeless Craft of Writing: Beyond Structure and Style
Writing has always been an enigma for new writers to set their rules and styles. But ironically, writing is never limited to a certain style and use of specific structures. It's much more than that. Writing is an expression of thoughts that has an understanding or a perspective towards a scenario. It is a reflection of one's intellect and learning. The language itself has changed with time, Shakespeare is still appreciated and applauded for his wisdom, although the vocabulary and sentence structures are a headache for Generation Z. 📜✍️
Literary Movements and Individual Expression
Writers always enjoy the liberty to choose their own writing styles, and this is the only thing that is universal among all writers. The literary movements or genres in English Literature clearly depict this consistent trend. I am not trying to confuse anyone that drama, novel, poetry, short stories, or essays have the same basic principles or templates; what I am sharing is that even in drama, Shakespeare and Christopher Marlowe were both great dramatists of the Renaissance; but their plays were distinguishable from each other. The only prime reason was that writing is not merely following a standard use of words or set introductory sentences, supported by relevant arguments. It is a much deeper skill to express what you feel as an individual. 🎭📚
The Universal Principle of Writing: A Journey of Curiosity
A reader who has never tried to understand the purpose of reading has a high probability; that he will hardly be able to grasp the thought process behind writing. If a writer has read more than 100 writers, it is very difficult for him to write anything unless he has clarity in his mind. Why does he want to write? There is one universal principle about writing, and that is 'curiosity to write'. Thomas Hardy and George Eliot were amazing contemporary novelists of the nineteenth century, but both were unique in their writing styles. Later, Jane Austen was famous for her novels; she had her style of writing distinguished from the rest of the novelists because of her thought process. 🤔🖋️
The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Writing
In this era of Artificial Intelligence writing, the best concise, pithy, informative, and engaging content is a piece of cake. The only universal problem one encounters while using AI is a lack of individual touch that only a human being can create in writing. Large Language Models have a sound understanding of rules and regulations, linguistic genius, and arranging the words in the best sentence structures; but it lacks the instinctive capacity of a human being to adopt a unique and different writing style. Language is evolving from Spenser to Shakespeare, from Jonathan Swift to Machiavelli. 🤖💡
Preserving the Human Touch in the Age of AI Writing
The journey from humanism, criticism, romanticism, realism, fantasy, and curiosity will never end. And writing will remain an art that will stay an art because writing involves diving into uncertainties, possibilities, and probabilities. There are no arithmetic calculations in writing. LLMs are very helpful in solving writing challenges and are very useful in creating content that we need to fulfill our daily written requirements related to our jobs. So much communication during official work is repetitive, and AI is very handy. But the human brain has the potential to wonder for new horizons and delve into new ventures. As every human being has his own identity, likewise, every individual has his writing style unless you copy someone. 🧠🌌📝
